Protective Design

In the late 1990s, to assist its clients working on government projects, BASE began providing antiterrorism/force protection (AT/FP), a relatively new specialty engineering service for the A-E industry. While BASE foresaw the importance for this work with certain government clients, the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 brought these risks into consideration for many private sector clients as well. Since then BASE has emerged as a leading structural engineering consulting firm addressing protective design.
